The governorship candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) in Osun State, Olajide Esan, has strongly condemned the revocation of the bail granted to the AAC presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, describing the court decision as an illegal attack on justice and constitutional rights. In a statement issued on Saturday in Osogbo, Esan said that the ruling of Justice Mohammed Umar of the Federal High Court in Abuja was aimed at silencing voices demanding accountability and reforms in Nigeria.

The judge ordered the issuance of the bench warrant following the defendant's failure to appear for a scheduled proceeding on June 16, 2026.
