PAGASA says Tropical Storm Maymay (Kujira) could make landfall by Wednesday evening, August 5, or early Thursday morning, August 6
MANILA, Philippines – Ilocos Norte is now among the list of potential landfall sites for Tropical Storm Maymay (Kujira), aside from Ilocos Sur and La Union.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its 5 pm bulletin on Wednesday, August 5, that Maymay could make landfall in one of those three provinces in the Ilocos Region by Wednesday evening or early Thursday morning, August 6.
As of 4 pm on Wednesday, Maymay was located 145 kilometers west of Sinait, Ilocos Sur, moving north northeast at just 10 kilometers per hour (km/h).
