MANILA, Philippines — The low pressure area (LPA) inside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) and the southwest monsoon will bring rains over parts of Luzon and Visayas within 24 hours, the state weather bureau said on Tuesday.

In the 4 p.m. forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), it said that the southwest monsoon is affecting Southern Luzon and the western section of Visayas while the LPA is prevailing over Northern Luzon. As of 3 p.m., the LPA was located 180 kilometers west of Bacnotan, La Union.
