MANILA, Philippines — The trough of a low-pressure area (LPA) inside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) is forecast to bring rains over parts of Luzon and Visayas on Saturday, the state weather bureau said.
In the 5 a.m. weather forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration, weather specialist Veronica Torres said that the LPA was last seen 960 kilometers east of Southeastern Luzon as of 3 a.m. She then noted that no other LPA or tropical cyclones are monitored inside and outside the PAR.
