MANILA, Philippines — The trough of the low-pressure area (LPA) being monitored outside the Philippine area of responsibility is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan and the entire Mindanao on Monday, May 25, the state weather bureau reported.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), the effects of the LPA in Palawan and Mindanao are forecast to continue until Tuesday.
Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said in a morning forecast that the LPA still has a “medium” chance of developing into a tropical cyclone.
