Supporters of detained human rights activist and African Action Congress (AAC) leader, Omoyele Sowore, have intensified calls for his release, staging protests in the United Kingdom and Nigeria following his remand at the Kuje Correctional Centre by a Federal High Court in Abuja.

They described the revocation of his bail as partisan and accused the government of persecuting and harassing the activist.
