The house in Klapperbos Street, Kewtown, has become the centre of a murder case.
The house where 31-year-old Suraan Windvogel was murdered and her body stuffed into a black bag before it was dumped is a known drug den in Athlone.
Residents are now calling for it to be deemed a problem building and shut down before another life is lost.
Irate residents marched to the premises at 6 Klapperbos Street in Kewtown, on Monday, calling for its closure.
This was just hours after Windvogel’s alleged killer, Rashaad “Boontjie” Daniels, 60, made an appearance in the Athlone Magistrate's Court.
