A 32-year-old Diego Martin man was shot dead at his home in the early hours of Saturday after gunmen opened fire on the property before fleeing on foot.The victim has been identified as Nigel Ferguson, also known as "Ling", of Rathole, Upper Quarry Street, Diego Martin.At about 1.35 a.m., residents heard explosions coming from Ferguson's home. Moments later, two men dressed in dark clothing and armed with firearms were seen running from the house before escaping down a flight of steps leading to the roadway.A resident went to check on Ferguson and found him lying motionless in the doorway of his home.Crime Scene Investigators processed the scene and recovered 20 spent shell casings of different calibres, including seven 9mm casings and 13 .40-calibre casings.Police are continuing investigations into the killing and have not yet established a motive.
