LUCENA CITY, Philippines – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) has warned residents in five localities across Cavite, Batangas, Quezon, and Laguna to prepare for dangerous heat levels on Tuesday and Wednesday.
In its 5 p.m. bulletin issued on Monday, Pagasa forecast that Cavite City in Cavite is expected to register a heat index of 46 °C on Tuesday and 45°C on Wednesday, and that Tanauan City, Batangas, may experience 45°C and 44°C, respectively.
Cavite City has endured extreme heat in recent days, with heat index levels reaching 48°C on May 21, 23, and 25.
