Dangerous heat expected in Cavite, Quezon as temperatures soar

LUCENA CITY, Quezon — Amid continuing sweltering conditions, four areas in Cavite and Quezon provinces are expected to experience dangerous heat index levels on Thursday.

In its 5 p.m. forecast issued on Wednesday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Sangley Point in Cavite City may record a heat index of 46°C.

Cavite City has been under extreme heat in recent days, with heat index levels reaching as high as 45°C on May 17, 18, and 20.
