Dangerous heat index to hit parts of Calabarzon

LUCENA CITY – Despite generally fair weather conditions forecast by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Friday, at least seven areas in Cavite, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon are expected to continue to have dangerous heat index levels.

In Bacoor City, Cavite, authorities reminded residents to take precautionary measures as the heat index may reach 44 degrees Celsius during the day.
