LUCENA CITY, Quezon — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) warned residents in six areas of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, and Quezon provinces of dangerous heat index levels on Saturday, May 30, despite looming rains.
Based on Pagasa’s 5 p.m. bulletin on Friday, Sangley Point in Cavite City and Infanta, Quezon are expected to register a heat index of 44 degrees Celsius on Saturday.

Tanauan City in Batangas, as well as Tayabas City and the island town of Alabat in Quezon, are forecast to experience a heat index of 43°C.
