LUCENA CITY — At least six areas in the Calabarzon region are expected to experience dangerous levels of heat index on Saturday, May 23, according to the state weather bureau.
In its 5 p.m. forecast on Friday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Sangley Point in Cavite City may still reach a heat index of 44°C.
Forecasts, however, remain subject to change.
On Thursday, Cavite City recorded a heat index of 48°C, higher than the earlier projection of 46°C.
