The water level of the Danube River continues to decline along almost the entire Bulgarian section, with small drops recorded at most monitoring stations over the past 24 hours.
Data from the Executive Agency for Exploration and Maintenance of the Danube River shows decreases ranging from 1 to 5 centimeters. The largest drop was measured at the Svishtov water gauge station.
The level at Silistra remained unchanged during the same period, marking the only reported station without a decline. Despite the relatively small fluctuations, authorities say the overall hydrological situation remains complicated.
According to the River Supervision Directorate, no new vessels have become stuck either within or outside the shipping channel over the past 24 hours. The situation therefore remains stable from a navigation standpoint, despite the continuing decline in water levels.
All restrictions on the draft of vessels remain in effect along the entire Bulgarian section of the Danube. The measures continue to limit the depth at which vessels can safely navigate because of the low water conditions.
