Water levels along the Bulgarian stretch of the Danube River continued to decline on Friday, with several monitoring stations reporting significant drops over the past 24 hours, according to official data.
The sharpest decrease was recorded at Novo Selo and Vidin, where the river level fell by 10 centimeters in a single day. Lom registered a drop of 9 centimeters, followed by Oryahovo with 8 centimeters, Nikopol with 7 centimeters, Svishtov with 5 centimeters, Ruse with 4 centimeters, and Silistra with 2 centimeters.
Despite the ongoing decline, Novo Selo recorded the highest water level along the Bulgarian section of the river at minus 67 centimeters. It was followed by Vidin at minus 28 centimeters and Lom at minus 14 centimeters.
The lowest water levels were measured at Ruse, where the river stood at minus 101 centimeters. Oryahovo followed at minus 93 centimeters, while Silistra recorded minus 81 centimeters.
According to the Executive Agency for Exploration and Maintenance of the Danube River, the trend of falling water levels is continuing across the Bulgarian section of the river.
