The Danube River continued to decline over the past 24 hours, with water levels falling by between 1 and 4 centimeters at monitoring stations along the Bulgarian section. The largest drop was recorded at the Ruse water gauge station.
The latest figures were released by the Executive Agency for Research and Maintenance of the Danube River and show that the decline is continuing at individual monitoring points, although the decreases remain relatively limited.
According to the River Supervision Directorate, no new vessels have become stuck either within or outside the shipping channel during the past 24 hours.
Despite the absence of new incidents, all restrictions on vessel draft remain in effect along the entire Bulgarian section of the Danube. The measures continue to reflect the difficult navigation conditions caused by the low river levels.
The hydrological situation remains complicated as the Danube continues to fall.
