A couple and another man jailed on charges of drug trafficking and failure to report a death appear before an investigator on Thursday following new warrants over an infant’s death and sexual offenses against the couple’s 15-year-old daughter.

The suspects are a 43-year-old Greek, his 38-year-old German partner, and a 26-year-old Afghan national. The couple denied drug trafficking, citing personal addiction.

Regarding the infant, found frozen and who had died four years ago, the father blamed medical issues, attributing physical marks to efforts to free the body from ice. The mother said she kept the body, unable to accept the death. The Afghan suspect denied knowledge of the baby, saying he only babysat three times weekly.

Authorities are reviewing the Greek man’s 2020-2021 sex trafficking and rape probe. He was jailed and cleared in a separate 2020 pimping case.
