MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) is proposing a ₱30.9- billion budget for 2027, prioritizing research & development (R&D) and science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education.

In a statement, DOST said over a quarter, or P8.01 billion, of the proposed budget will go to its Grant-In-Aid (GIA) program for research and development (R&D), innovation, personal training, and industry competitiveness.
