Water levels on the Danube have risen for a second consecutive day across almost the entire Bulgarian section of the river, according to data from the Executive Agency for Exploration and Maintenance of the Danube River.
The largest increase over the past 24 hours was recorded at the Novo Selo water gauge, where the level rose by 8 centimeters. The reading at Lom increased by 5 centimeters, while Vidin recorded a 4-centimeter rise.
Smaller increases were registered further downstream. The level at Oryahovo and Ruse rose by 2 centimeters, while Nikopol recorded a 1-centimeter increase. The level at Silistra remained unchanged.
Despite the latest rises, the hydrological situation on the river remains difficult. According to the River Supervision Directorate, no vessels became stranded either within or outside the shipping channel during the past 24 hours.
All restrictions on vessel draft remain in force along the entire Bulgarian section of the Danube, meaning navigation continues under the current limitations.
