The level of the Danube River has risen along almost the entire Bulgarian section over the past 24 hours, with the largest increase recorded near Lom, where the river rose by 7 centimeters.
The latest data from the Executive Agency for Exploration and Maintenance of the Danube River show increases at most monitoring stations. The level rose by 4 centimeters at Vidin, by 3 centimeters at Novo Selo and Oryahovo, by 2 centimeters at Nikopol and by 1 centimeter at Ruse.
No change was recorded at Svishtov, while Silistra registered a slight decrease of 2 centimeters.
Despite the rise at most stations, the overall hydrological situation remains difficult because water levels on the Danube continue to be low. The Ministry of Environment is stepping up monitoring of the river amid the ongoing low-water conditions.
The latest information from the River Supervision Directorate shows that no vessels became stranded either in or outside the shipping channel during the past 24 hours.
