A 76-year-old pedestrian was fatally injured after being struck by a car in Agioi Anargyroi, northwestern Athens, on Thursday night, in an incident whose circumstances remain under investigation.
The vehicle was driven by a 28-year-old woman, who was arrested following the accident. The victim was taken to Nikaia General Hospital, near Piraeus, where doctors confirmed his death.
Authorities have opened a case against the driver, while police investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
