A 76-year-old woman was killed Tuesday morning in Thessaloniki after being struck by a motorcycle in the city center.
The accident occurred on Klaudianou Street while the woman was crossing the road, according to authorities. Police said a 22-year-old man was riding the motorcycle at the time of the collision. The circumstances are under investigation.
Emergency services responded to the scene, but the woman was pronounced dead from her injuries.
The driver was arrested as part of a preliminary investigation.
