Police in Thessaloniki are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 15-year-old girl in a motorcycle crash on the city’s ring road.
The collision occurred at around noon between the Neapolis and Eptapyrgio junctions on the eastbound carriageway, police said.
According to initial reports, the girl was riding as a pillion passenger on a motorcycle driven by her father when it collided with a garbage truck.
She was taken to Gennimatas Hospital, where she was pronounced dead despite the efforts of medical staff.
