A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday afternoon on the Attiki Odos highway in Athens.
The crash occurred around 3 p.m., about 500 meters past the Anthousa toll station. Police said a patrol vehicle was stopped in the emergency lane while officers were conducting a check on another car when the motorcycle struck the patrol car’s side mirror, causing the rider to lose control.
The motorcycle then collided with a moving truck, fatally injuring the rider.
