A 71-year-old woman has died after being hit by a tourist coach in Thessaloniki while crossing the road.
According to police, the accident occurred around noon on Konstantinou Karamanlis Avenue, near Perdika Street, when the woman was crossing the road outside a designated pedestrian crossing.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation. The coach was being driven by a 61-year-old man, who was arrested following the incident.
The woman was taken by ambulance to Ippokratio Hospital with multiple injuries, where she later died.
Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the fatal crash.
