Bulgaria will see mostly sunny weather on Tuesday, with temperatures reaching 36 degrees in some areas, while isolated thunderstorms and short periods of rain are expected mainly in the west, according to the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology.

Clouds will remain more prominent over northeastern Bulgaria during the morning, with some rain still possible. The precipitation is expected to end during the day as the clouds gradually break up and decrease.

Around midday and in the afternoon, cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds will develop over western Bulgaria. Some areas will see brief rain and thunderstorms. Winds will generally be light, while in eastern Bulgaria they will be moderate from the east-southeast. Daytime highs will range from 31 to 36 degrees, with temperatures of around 32 degrees expected in Sofia.

Atmospheric pressure will remain above the monthly average but is forecast to decrease slightly during the day.

Mountain areas will also have predominantly sunny conditions, although clouds will build around and after noon. Short-lived rain and thunderstorms are possible in some of the mountains of western Bulgaria. Winds will be light to moderate from the south-southeast, shifting to west-southwest at the highest elevations. Temperatures will reach about 26 degrees at an altitude of 1,200 meters and around 18 degrees at 2,000 meters.
