Bulgaria is expected to enjoy predominantly sunny weather on Tuesday, July 7, although cloud development during the afternoon will bring isolated showers to parts of the country. Cumulus clouds will build over eastern Bulgaria and the mountain regions, with some developing into rain clouds capable of producing brief rainfall.
A moderate west wind will blow across most of the country, while eastern areas will experience a southerly breeze. Afternoon temperatures will range from 27°C to 32°C, with Sofia forecast to reach about 27°C.
Mountain areas will begin the day under mostly clear skies before clouds increase after midday. Brief showers are expected in some locations as cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds develop. Moderate northwesterly winds will accompany the changing conditions. Temperatures are forecast to reach around 21°C at 1,200 meters and approximately 13°C at elevations of 2,000 meters.
The Black Sea coast will also see largely sunny conditions. During the afternoon, cloud cover will increase, although only isolated areas along the northern coastline are expected to receive light rain. Winds will be light to moderate from the east-southeast before noon. Daytime highs along the coast will range between 27°C and 29°C, while sea water temperatures will remain warm at 24°C to 26°C. Sea conditions are expected to stay calm, with waves of 1 to 2 on the Beaufort scale.
