Bulgaria will enjoy another hot summer day on Tuesday, with mostly sunny skies across the country and maximum temperatures reaching 36°C, according to the national weather forecast.

Sunshine will dominate for much of the day, although cumulus clouds are expected to develop during the afternoon, mainly over the eastern and mountainous regions. Isolated, short-lived showers are possible in some of these areas.

Winds will be light to moderate from the northwest, becoming temporarily strong over the Danube Plain. In eastern Bulgaria, winds will gradually shift to the north-northeast. Daytime highs will range between 31°C and 36°C, with slightly cooler conditions expected along the Black Sea coast and in the northeastern parts of the country. Temperatures in Sofia are forecast to reach around 31°C.

In the mountains, the morning will be sunny before afternoon cloud development brings a slight chance of brief showers, particularly across the mountain ranges of western Bulgaria. Winds will strengthen from the west-northwest, becoming strong and occasionally gale-force along the highest ridges of the Central Balkan Mountains. Temperatures are expected to reach around 26°C at 1,200 meters and 17°C at 2,000 meters.
