Bulgaria will experience another hot summer day on Wednesday, with temperatures climbing as high as 36°C, according to the forecast of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH).
The country will see mostly sunny weather, with only some scattered cumulus clouds developing in the afternoon, mainly over mountainous areas and parts of eastern Bulgaria. The chance of rainfall remains very low, with possible showers limited to isolated locations.
Winds will remain light to moderate in eastern parts of the country, blowing mainly from the north-northwest. Along the Black Sea coast, the wind direction will gradually shift in the afternoon to the east-northeast. Maximum temperatures nationwide will range between 31°C and 36°C.
Sofia will be slightly cooler than many other areas, with temperatures expected to reach around 32°C. As usual during summer heat, the Black Sea coastline will remain more moderate, with lower temperatures compared with inland regions.
Atmospheric pressure will stay slightly above the average level for July, although it is expected to decrease gradually during the day.
