Weather across Bulgaria will remain mostly sunny on Wednesday, September 9, with temperatures expected to edge higher, according to the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH). Afternoon highs will range from 28°C to 33°C, while Sofia will reach around 30°C.
Some low clouds will develop before noon in parts of eastern Bulgaria. During the afternoon, cumulus clouds will form mainly over the mountains in the western parts of the country. High clouds will also increase from the west during the evening. Winds will be light, becoming moderate in eastern areas and blowing from the east-southeast.
Mountain areas will also see mostly sunny conditions. Cumulus clouds are expected to build after midday, particularly over the western mountain ranges, although little or no precipitation is forecast. Winds at higher elevations will be light and from the northwest. Temperatures will reach about 24°C at 1,200 meters and around 18°C at 2,000 meters.
Along the Black Sea coast, the weather will be mostly sunny, with some low cloudiness possible before noon. A moderate easterly wind will blow along the coast. Daytime temperatures will range from 25°C to 28°C.
Sea water temperatures will remain between 24°C and 25°C, while wave heights are expected to reach around 3 points.
