Warm and mostly sunny conditions are expected across Bulgaria on Tuesday, but forecasters warn that unstable weather will develop in the northwestern and western parts of the country, bringing showers and thunderstorms later in the day.

In the morning hours, cloud development will begin earlier over the northwest, while after midday cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds are expected to form over the western half of Bulgaria. In many areas, short-lived but locally intense rainfall is likely, accompanied by thunder and a risk of hail. Winds will remain generally light, blowing from the west-northwest in western regions and from the east in the east.

Daytime highs will range between 28°C and 33°C, with Sofia reaching around 29°C.

Mountain areas in eastern Bulgaria are expected to remain mostly sunny, while the western massifs will see more unstable conditions with developing rain clouds and thunderstorms. Precipitation in those areas may also be intense and brief, with hail possible. At higher elevations, temperatures will reach around 23°C at 1,200 meters and about 15°C at 2,000 meters, with light to moderate northwesterly winds.

Along the Black Sea coast, the weather will stay predominantly sunny. Winds will be light, increasing to moderate from the east-southeast in the afternoon. Coastal temperatures will be between 25°C and 28°C, while seawater temperatures will range from 21°C to 23°C. Sea conditions are expected to be calm to slightly choppy, around force 2 on the Beaufort scale.
