The weather across Bulgaria on Wednesday is expected to be mostly sunny, with rainfall temporarily easing during the day, according to the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH). However, the improvement will be short-lived, as afternoon conditions will bring renewed instability in parts of the country.

In the eastern regions and mountainous areas, cloud development is forecast after midday, with cumulus and cumulonimbus formations leading to scattered showers and thunderstorms. Meteorologists note that precipitation activity is likely to intensify again overnight into Thursday, particularly over western parts of Bulgaria.

Winds will generally be light to moderate, coming from the south-southeast. Daytime temperatures are expected to reach between 26°C and 31°C, with Sofia seeing highs of around 26°C to 27°C.

Mountain conditions will be mostly sunny in the morning, followed by afternoon cloud buildup and localized showers accompanied by thunder. Wind in the higher elevations will remain light to moderate from the southwest. Temperatures are expected to reach around 20°C at 1,200 meters and about 13°C at 2,000 meters.

Along the Black Sea coast, sunny conditions will dominate for most of the day, though afternoon cloud formation may again bring showers and thunderstorms, especially along the southern coastline. Winds will be light to moderate from the southeast. Maximum coastal temperatures will range between 22°C and 25°C. Sea water temperatures will be around 19°C to 20°C, with wave heights reaching up to three points.
