The night will remain mostly clear, with a light southwestern wind in the Danube Plain. During the morning hours, skies will be mainly sunny, but after noon, cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds will form in many areas, bringing short-lived rainfall and thunderstorms. The weather conditions are expected to be more intense in eastern parts of the country and in the mountains of southern Bulgaria.
Forecasters warned that hail is also possible in some areas. Winds will shift to the west-northwest and become moderate, while stronger and gusty winds are expected in the Danube Plain, the western part of the Upper Thracian Lowland and along the Struma Valley.
Daytime temperatures will range between 29°C and 34°C, reaching around 30°C in the Sofia area. Atmospheric pressure will continue to fall and will be below the average levels for this time of the month.
Along the Black Sea coast, the weather will remain mostly sunny before noon. Later in the day, cloud development will bring showers and thunderstorms to many places, with some areas experiencing temporarily heavy rainfall. Winds will be weak to moderate from the southern directions. Temperatures will reach 29°C to 31°C, while seawater temperatures will remain between 24°C and 25°C. Sea waves will be around 2 to 3 points.
