A period of unstable atmospheric conditions is expected over Bulgaria on Tuesday, with forecasters warning of localized storms, heavy rainfall and possible hail, followed by a gradual shift toward warmer weather later in the week.

The day will begin mostly sunny across much of the country, but conditions are expected to deteriorate around midday as cloud development intensifies. By the afternoon and evening, cumulonimbus clouds are forecast to bring short but potentially strong bursts of rain in many areas, accompanied by thunderstorms.

Meteorologists say the weather activity will not be evenly distributed, with precipitation developing in scattered locations rather than nationwide coverage. The most affected regions are expected to be parts of Eastern and Southern Bulgaria, where thunderstorms and brief downpours are more likely.

Some of the storm cells could bring hail and temporary strengthening of the wind. Forecasters also warn that the phenomena will be locally intense, meaning conditions may vary significantly even within short distances.

A northwest wind, ranging from light to moderate strength, will contribute to a slight cooling effect. Daytime temperatures are expected to remain between 25°C and 33°C, depending on the region.
