Bulgaria is set for another largely sunny summer day on Tuesday, July 14, with warmer conditions returning across most of the country. Skies will remain mostly clear through much of the day, although cloud cover is expected to build during the afternoon over the eastern parts of the country and the mountainous regions. Only isolated locations are likely to see brief showers despite the increase in clouds.
A moderate north-northwesterly wind will continue to blow, gradually easing later in the day. Afternoon temperatures will climb further, reaching between 28C and 33C nationwide, while Sofia is expected to see highs of around 29C.
Mountain areas will also enjoy predominantly sunny weather. Clouds are forecast to develop later in the afternoon, bringing only a slight chance of brief rainfall in isolated spots. A moderate north-northwesterly wind will persist, with temperatures reaching approximately 22C at elevations of 1,200 meters and around 14C at 2,000 meters.
Along the Black Sea coast, sunshine will dominate for most of the day before periods of increased cloudiness arrive during the afternoon. A few coastal areas may experience short-lived showers. Moderate north-northwesterly winds are expected before weakening toward the evening. Daytime temperatures will range from 25C to 29C, while sea water temperatures will remain between 21C and 24C. Wave conditions are forecast to stay relatively calm at around 2 on the Beaufort scale.
