Far from Slovakia's busy cities and popular destinations, a remote hillside near Teplý Vrch is welcoming visitors from places as distant as Singapore and France. They don't come for a luxury resort or a famous landmark, but to visit a family-run farm where the most sought-after accommodation is hidden underground.
After returning from years abroad, including living on the island of Tenerife, Ľubka and Ondrej Petráš decided to transform their family land into Statok Materinka, building their own natural home for around €20,000 with clay, straw and wood.
