Aletta Rose was seen smiling for the first time before throwing a tantrum in court.
The Bellville Magistrate’s Court was thrown into disarray on Friday morning when Aletta Rose, 63, the accused of murdering and dismembering her 79-year-old sister, Constance “Connie” Scholtz, spotted the media cameras.
As the proceedings unfolded, the State requested a 30-day postponement, rescheduling the case for August 24, 2026.
Rose remains in custody and is currently ranked fifth on the waiting list for a psychiatric evaluation bed placement.
However, before proceedings could get under way, Rose appeared to become agitated outside court when she noticed the media.
