Aletta Rose was seen smiling for the first time on court
Everything appeared calm at the Bellville Magistrate’s Court on Friday morning until murder accused Aletta Rose caught sight of the cameras awaiting her.
Rose, 63, who is accused of murdering and dismembering her 79-year-old sister, Constance “Connie” Scholtz, in March this year, was back in the dock as the State requested a further 30-day postponement.
The case was postponed to 24 August 2026, while Rose remains in custody.
The court heard that Rose had progressed to number five on the waiting list for a bed placement for psychiatric observation.
