A PREGNANT woman was killed and her one-year-old son shot in the face while in his mother’s arms in a mass shooting in the early hours of Sunday in Malmesbury.
The woman, aged 21, and a 22-year-old man died during the shooting in which six other adults and the child were injured and taken to hospital for medical treatment.
All of those injured in the attack were reported to be in a stable condition.
The shooting took place at approximately 4:40am in Godetia Street in the Wesbank area, where the group was sitting when gunmen allegedly entered through a neighbour’s yard and opened fire on the group through the barbed wire.
A mother, whose son was injured in the shooting, said that the group was visiting her son’s house.
