A pregnant woman and a man were killed, while seven others, including a toddler, were injured in a suspected gang-related Malmesbury shooting.

Three suspects implicated in a mass shooting that resulted in the death of two people and the injury of eight others, including a one-year-old, are expected to apply for bail next week.

Juanito Moses, 29, Dirkie Hendricks, 26, and Reginald April, 32, made a brief appearance in the Malmesbury Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday and were formally charged with two counts of murder and eight counts of attempted murder.

Moses was arrested on Monday, while his co-accused, Hendricks and April, were arrested on Tuesday.

The State is set to prove that the trio, who are members of a local gang in the Wesbank area, made their way onto a property on Godetia Street, Wesbank, on Sunday, July 12, and opened fire on unsuspecting victims.
