Gunmen allegedly entered through the neighbour's yard
The three suspects implicated in the mass shooting, which claimed the lives of two people and resulted in the injury of eight others, are expected to appear in the Malmesbury Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
Police arrested a suspect on Monday, July 13, and two more accused on Tuesday, July 14.
Juanito Moses, 29, made a brief appearance in court on Tuesday, where he faces two counts of murder and eight counts of attempted murder. However, the matter was rolled over so that the other two suspects could join Moses in the dock.
The trio is alleged to have stormed a house in Godetia Street, Wesbank, on Sunday, July 12, where a 22-year-old man and a pregnant 21-year-old woman were shot dead. They also shot eight others, including a one-year-old child in the face. It is believed the suspects managed to gain entrance onto the premises from a neighbour’s yard.
