TRAGIC: 10 people shot in Malmesbury attack
Police have made three arrests in connection with the mass shooting in which 10 people were shot during the early hours of Sunday morning in Malmesbury.
The shooting took place at around 4.40am in Godetia Street, Wesbank, where the group was sitting and drinking when gunmen allegedly entered through a neighbour's yard and opened fire on the group through the barbed wire.
A 21-year-old pregnant mother was shot dead and her one-year-old son was shot in the face while in her arms but survived the attack and is receiving treatment at Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital.
A 22-year-old man was also fatally shot at the scene, while eight victims were left wounded.
