A 46-year-old woman wanted in connection with the 2010 arson attack on an Athens bank that killed three employees has been arrested in the United Kingdom, according to reports Monday.

The woman was arrested Monday morning by British authorities following an international search launched through an Interpol Red Notice. Greek authorities are expected to begin extradition proceedings to return her to Greece.

The suspect, who maintains her innocence, has lived in Brighton, England, for at least the past six years. Reports said she had indicated a willingness to return voluntarily to Greece after an arrest warrant was issued against her, but Greek authorities proceeded with the international arrest request.

The case stems from the May 5, 2010, arson attack on a Marfin Bank branch in central Athens during a large anti-austerity protest. Three bank employees, including a pregnant woman, died after the building was set on fire in one of the deadliest episodes of Greece’s financial crisis-era unrest.
