Just a day before brave young cancer fighter Creashy Maart took her final breath, her mother unknowingly shared what would become one of the most heartbreaking moments of their journey together.
Christelene Maart took to social media to reveal that although her birthday is only on 25 July, her daughter had insisted on giving her gifts 17 days early.
Not because she could not wait, but because she feared she would not live long enough to celebrate with her.
"My Birthday only the 25th July," Christelene wrote.
