Cape Town is mourning the death of cancer warrior Creashy Maart, who passed away in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Within minutes of the sad news of the 19-year-old’s death, social media platforms lit up with messages of condolences and comfort to her heartbroken family and friends.
Diagnosed with lung issues at just two weeks old, she finally received a new set of lungs last year. It was supposed to be her second chance.
Heartbreakingly, those very lungs meant to give her life became the site of life-threatening cancer and she was told by doctors in January that there is no cure for her.
