Christelene posted posted this tribute to her daughter

Just hours after thousands of mourners lined the streets of Mitchells Plain to bid farewell to cancer warrior Creashy Maart, her mother shared an emotional message of gratitude to everyone who stood by the family throughout her daughter's courageous journey.

Creashy, whose battle with cancer inspired South Africans from all walks of life, was laid to rest on Saturday following a funeral procession that began outside her family home in Mitchells Plain before making its way to the Portlands Old Apostolic Church.

Supporters lined the streets as family, friends, neighbours and strangers who became invested in Creashy's story gathered to pay their final respects. She was laid to rest in a beautiful purple coffin, a fitting tribute to the young woman whose strength, compassion and unwavering faith touched thousands.

Taking to social media after the funeral, Creashy's mother, Christelene Maart, described saying goodbye to her daughter as the hardest day of her life.
