South Africans can expect a cold and mostly dry weekend across the interior, while coastal regions brace for isolated to scattered showers.
Most of South Africa can expect a dry but chilly weekend, with rain largely confined to parts of the southern and eastern coastline as a weak coastal weather system lingers over the country.
According to the South African Weather Service, Friday will be predominantly fine across the interior, including Gauteng, the Free State, North West, Limpopo and much of Mpumalanga. Morning frost is expected in parts of Gauteng, while temperatures will remain cool to cold over the central and southern interior.
Rainfall chances on Friday are limited to a 30% probability of isolated showers and light rain along sections of the Western Cape south coast, the Eastern Cape coastline and parts of KwaZulu-Natal's coastal belt. The rest of the country is expected to remain dry.
The weather pattern will continue into Saturday, with sunny conditions dominating inland provinces. However, coastal areas from the Western Cape through the Eastern Cape and into KwaZulu-Natal will continue to experience cloudier conditions.
