Expect cool temperatures and scattered showers this Monday.
South Africans can expect a mostly calm and cool start to the new week on Monday, 8 June, 2026, with dry and stable conditions dominating much of the country's interior. No severe weather warnings, fire danger alerts or advisories have been issued by the South African Weather Service.
The best chance of rain will be confined to the southern parts of the country as a cold front influences the coastal regions. The Western Cape will remain cloudy at times, particularly across southern and central areas, where rain and showers are expected.
Rain chances range from 60% along the south-western coast, including areas around Cape Town and adjacent coastal districts, decreasing to 30% further east across the Garden Route and interior southern sections.
Across the Eastern Cape, conditions will start off fine during the morning before cloud cover increases through the afternoon. Isolated showers and light rain are expected to develop over the western and central parts of the province, with a 30% chance of rainfall extending into some southern coastal areas by late afternoon and evening.
