The Western Cape braces for isolated rain while the Interior enjoys dry conditions.
South Africans can expect a cool weekend with scattered showers and rain in southern parts of the country as May comes to an end, according to the South African Weather Service (SAWS).
Following the partly cloudy and cool conditions experienced during the week, SAWS says showers and rain will continue over parts of the south-west and south-east into the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, May 30–31 2026.
