Cool conditions and light showers in expected in Eastern regions this weekend.
South Africa is heading into a calm and mostly dry weekend, with cool conditions dominating much of the country while light rain remains confined to parts of the eastern coastline and escarpment areas.
Saturday will bring fine and cool weather across the interior, including Gauteng, the Free State, North West and most of the Northern Cape. Morning fog patches are expected in places over the Highveld, eastern interior and escarpment regions before clearing later in the day. Along the eastern parts of Mpumalanga,
Limpopo and KwaZulu-Natal, partly cloudy skies are expected with isolated light showers and rain developing at times. Rain chances will remain around 30% in these eastern regions, while the rest of the country stays dry.
Temperatures will remain cool to mild over the central interior, with warmer conditions over the Lowveld and parts of the western interior. No severe weather alerts, fire danger warnings or advisories have been issued.
